| This 12/11 hammered dulcimer is my newest model. It is made of hard maple in the pinblocks and bridges. The soundboard is made of laminated Baltic birch wood and is stained in an ebony finish to provide a better contrast between the strings and allows for easier playing! The internal strut support structure gives added strength to the dulcimer. Under the soundboard and directly below the bridges there is a special support system that allows soundboard not to rest on these struts for a more resonate tone quality. I have the hand colored thistle design soundboud rosette in inventory at present. I am including a set of double sided playing hammers, and a tuning wrench. This is a great hammered dulcimer for the price! $395 + shipping The case you see is also available at this time. I have custom made it for the size of this instrument. Its internal shell is made of wood with the outside covered in a fabric similar to a suit case material. The interior is lined with a foam backed red fabric that provides a nice cushion for the dulcimer. The corners are very handy for storing your tuning wrench and the hammers. It makes a nice ways to store your dulcimer and to protect it when transporting it as well! Sells for $250 + shipping. |
